From its beginning, one of the alluring charms of Saint Lucia’s Anse Chastanet Resort has been the great variety of accommodation options the resort offers as virtually no two rooms are alike. During the initial development as well as all ongoing phases of expansion, owner architect Nick Troubetzkoy’s motivation was to design and build each room to meld in harmony with its natural surroundings. Given the rugged hillside topography along with the goal of giving each room the very best views possible, each room was completed with its own unique shape, features and size taking full advantage of its distinctive setting. Prospective guests then choose the accommodation that fits their tastes and desires.
To the delight of those guests who have a strong affinity for beach sand and the mesmerizing sounds of rolling waves, Anse Chastanet’s One of a Kind Suite, The Beach House, has become a popular accommodation option. Located on the north corner of the resort’s main beach, The Beach House provides very spacious indoor and outdoor space in a tranquil “away from it all” setting. The private entrance from the beach begins with stone steps that lead across a gated bridge and onto a brick pathway through the uniquely landscaped grounds that lead onto the 1,600 square foot patio with 450 square feet covered. An outdoor shower is there to rinse off sea salt and sand. The covered patio has a garden and roses on one side and an herb garden, flowers and a Koi pond and fountain on the other.
The fully air conditioned interior features a Saint Lucian heritage motif with furniture that was individually designed and handmade from island woods such as teak, mahogany, green heart, red cedar and wild breadfruit. rich island woods, combined with some fabrics and furniture pieces that speak to Saint Lucia’s French heritage.
The expansive bathroom features two large, rectangular white porcelain pedestal sinks with inset mirrors and glass wall sconces. A large, open custom rose glass tile shower area provides you with two rain showers, bench and an additional hand held shower. A cast-iron claw-foot slipper tub sits in front of a garden window for those who prefer to lay back in complete relaxation.
